Ensuring safety is one of Synergy’s biggest responsibilities. This goes for not just our guests, but our employees as well.
Synergy Global Housing has created a dedicated group of corporate housing specialists steeped in relocation experience to serve the needs of relocation companies and their transferees. Known as SYNC, the new group is staffed by some of Synergy’s most seasoned people, whose sole focus is to delight guests by providing a world class mobility-centric experience.
Synergy understands how stressful it can be to relocate. That’s why a dedicated relocation group makes sense, because we give relocation counselors and transferees one-on-one attention coupled with speed and accuracy. We get it right the first time. SYNC is a true partner in a smooth transition and a guest experience that is unique in the corporate housing industry.
Synergy officially unveiled SYNC as part of Worldwide ERC’s America’s Mobility Conference 2016 in Houston, May 18-20. SYNC, short for SYNergy Connection, is led by Susan Becker, a 25-year veteran of the corporate housing industry. Becker assumes the title of Managing Director, Relocation Alliances.
SYNC has been designed as a result of detailed feedback from relocation management companies (RMCs) to best serve mobility clients and guests through enhanced focus, transparency and responsiveness.
“Everything we do has a sense of purpose,” Becker said. “Every idea, every innovation comes from listening to our customers. Our relocation management partners represent a vital part of our business, and as a corporate housing supplier, we are a vital part of theirs.”
The hand-picked team of professionals has more than 200 years of collective experience working with the relocation industry. The understanding, knowledge and compassion that comes with this level of industry experience means SYNC will find customized solutions for each individual guest. We never use a cookie-cutter approach.
“We are an extension of our RMC partners, and we have one chance to make a complex, confusing and stressful situation better,” Becker said. “If the temporary housing experience goes smoothly it sets the stage for the rest of the relocation. This is another way of treating each guest as if they are our only guest. At its core, SYNC empowers us to serve the customer at the highest level.”
SAINT JULIANS, Malta – Synergy Global Housing has been awarded the Circle of Excellence Award as part of the European Relocation Association’s 2016 conference held in Malta on April 19-22.

The corporate traveler is typically surrounded in a concrete jungle made of high-rise buildings and concrete. Simply walking from an office building to your curbside UBER driver isn’t enough to clear your mind or burn excessive calories.
Take a Walk in the Park Day (yes, it’s a real thing) was created especially for those too busy to enjoy the physical and mental benefits from a nature walk. And with properties around the globe, Synergy has a ton of housing options to meet any need – even those looking for an outdoor escape.
In honor of today’s “holiday,” here are 9 Synergy Global Housing properties with access to amazing parks:
NEMA / Patricia’s Green (San Francisco, California)
Already known as one of the premier residential properties in San Francisco, NEMA is only minutes away from a small, but uniquely-San Francisco, public park named Patricia’s Green.
Golden Gate and Dolores Park usually grab all of the headlines for San Francisco’s green spaces, but this area is the perfect outdoor getaway from the non-stop construction and development defining The City today.
Patricia’s Green has a grass field, a jungle gym, picnic tables and two dog-friendly lawns. San Francisco’s personality is also on display in the area, with public art installations in and around the park. This space, founded in 1999, can become busy during weekday lunches with several dining options in the neighborhood giving workers an outdoor escape during their lunch hour.
Fraser Suites Sydney – Hyde Park (Sydney, Australia)
Fraser Suites Sydney is located adjacent to the Darling Harbour precinct, meaning it’s only a 5-minute walk to the city’s oldest public park, Hyde Park.
Park Street divides the area, with the two sections known as Hyde Park north and Hyde Park south. The northern half is famous for its monuments, including the park’s centerpiece, Archibald Fountain. The ANZAC Memorial and the Pool of Reflection headline Hyde Park south’s offerings.
Well-known for its fig tree lines avenues, Hyde Park takes its name from London’s famous park.
Crescent Village / River Oaks Park (San Jose, California)
This apartment community was purposely built around River Oaks Park, a five-acre park with tennis courts, playground and running trails.
Crescent Village is actually six different apartment buildings forming one complete residential community. Each of the buildings is a tennis ball’s throw from the park. The open fields around the park are perfect for dogs, while the playground provides the perfect spot for children to burn off some energy.
The park’s clean public restrooms are also a hit with reviewers on Yelp.
Treetops Executive Residences / The Singapore Botanic Gardens (Singapore)
Treetops Executive Residences already take advantage of the outdoors with is tropical enclave surrounding the property, but only a 10-minute drive is the world-famous Singapore Botanic Gardens.
The 156-year old tropical garden has been names Asia’s top park attraction by TripAdvisor, and was declared the inaugural Garden of the Year by the International Garden Tourism Awards in 2012.
The 202-acre garden contains the world’s largest collection of orchids, was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site by the United Nations and receives about 4.5 million visitors every year.
The Huxley / Plummer Park (West Hollywood, California)
Five blocks from The Huxley rests a massive outdoor recreational area named Plummer Park.
Almost every kind of outdoor activity can occur at Plummer Park with its open grass fields, tables and benches, children’s playground, basketball and tennis courts, community center and dog park.
The key to healthy living is diet and exercise, and Plummer Park also has your dietary needs covered. The Helen Albert Certified Farmers’ Market occurs every Monday, 9am-2pm, in the parking lot for Plummer Park.
Leeson Street Apartments / St. Stephen’s Green (Dublin, Ireland)
The Leeson Street Apartments are located right in the heart of Dublin’s City Centre district. This setting means you are only a 3-minute walk to St. Stephen’s Green, the largest park among the various garden squares in Dublin.
Originally, Stephen’s Green was used mainly as a public punishment center for criminals after it was enclosed in 1664. The area was a private park from 1814 to 1880, but underwent a massive renovation in 1880, as part of Sir Arthur Guinness’ plan to make the park public.
The historical evolution of Ireland is on display throughout the park, with many statues and monuments created centuries ago.
Ariva / Centrum Park (San Diego, California)
Located next to Synergy’s featured property, Ariva, is Centrum Park, a park with both a playground and a spacious grass field.
The white sand playground has slides, swings and picnic tables for the little ones. The grass field is popular with the dog community, as its large size gives owners enough room to bond with their pooch.
Feel free to bring your tablet if you want to sit at a table and read in the sunshine. Centrum Park has Wi-Fi for all visitors.
Hertford Street Apartments – Hyde Park (London)
Sitting on the doorstep to London’s Hyde Park are the Hertford Street Apartments. The complex has many modern amenities, such as The Met Bar and Nobu, but its location to the park can take you back in time to multiple eras of Great Britain’s capital.
Covering 350 acres, Hyde Park is arguably London’s most famous park and contains many of the city’s most famous landmarks. Hyde stretches from Kensington Palace, past the main entrance to Buckingham Palace, to Whitehall, a road which leads to Parliament Square.
North Park / Moitozo Park (San Jose, California)
There are six buildings that make up the North Park community, with each building surrounding Moitozo Park, a five-acre grassy area lined with palm trees.
Moitozo Park may not have many amenities, but makes up for it with its size. The grass field accounts for almost all of the park’s real estate. The flat and open layout makes it the ideal space for pick-up soccer and ultimate Frisbee matches.
A tree-lined sidewalk border runs along the outside of the field, offering joggers a path to work on their cardio. Each lap of the path is about half a mile.
Synergy’s global presence gives you, the traveler, the ability to customize your living space based on needs – even if that need is a great park.

Each year since the 1990’s over 65,000 H-1B visas are granted by the US government to highly skilled and specialty trade professionals to come work in the US. These individuals are highly sought after and come from countries all over the world. In recent years the imposed 65,000 visa cap has been exhausted within the first few days that applications were accepted. Clearly the need for these specialists as well as the applicant pool is in high demand, therefore increasing the competition in the market place among companies vying for these specialists.

Realizing that you are probably in new and unfamiliar surroundings, we suggest that you become comfortably acquainted with your new living environment. The following suggestions will help you take an active role in providing your own safety and security.
- If you have a life threatening Emergency, call 911 immediately as calling our office first will only delay response time. Also, for precautionary reasons, research the surrounding areas for nearby hospitals or police stations.
- Do not answer your front door without verifying who it is first.
- When returning to your apartment late in the evening, if possible, always use the main entrance of the property. While on the property and at all times, be observant of your surroundings and people in the area.
- Please remember to secure all windows and doors before leaving your apartment or going to bed at night; especially if you are in the ground floor apartment. If any of the locking devices in your apartment are inoperable, please contact the Synergy Corporate Housing Offices immediately at 1-800-600-1115.
- If at all possible never travel with, or leave, large amounts of jewelry or cash in your apartments.
- Following your move-in, please remover your apartment number from the key tag if it is present.
- Do not invite strangers into your apartment!
- Automobiles and auto accessories, such as cellular phones and stereos, are a prime target 0f thieves. Never leave valuable items in your car and lock your car at all times.
On May 13, 2013 Capital M’s Jamie-Oliver-inspired organic-fest kicked off to bring together foodies all over the world. Few restaurants can wave the organic banner as credibly, or as enthusiastically, as Capital M. They’ve been seeking local, organic food since 1992 and remain a strong figure in a now burgeoning flock of organic/vegan/wholefoods cafes and restaurants across the city. Now, paying homage to food warrior Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day, they are dedicating an entire week to all things organic.
In spirit of Jamie’ Oliver’s Food revolution Day, our employees decided to get creative and host a cooking demo for some of our guests. While the food prepared was not quite organic, we did cover important tips of how to eat healthy while you are on the go. Everyone can relate that when you are traveling, it is SO much easier to go out to eat or order take out, but what happened to that healthy kick you’ve been keeping up lately? Check out our Traveling Nutrition Tips below and tap into the cooking gallery to see what it’s like to cook with Synergy!
Traveling Nutrition Tips: Smart Travel Reminders
- Don’t skip meals! Aim to eat roughly every 3 hours.
- Stay hydrated. Drink .5-1.0 oz. per pound of body weight per day. This is especially important with air travel. Aim to drink about 8 ounces of fluid every hour on the plane.
- Bring bars. Granola and protein bars are great for snacks and pre- and post-workout nutrition.
- Include lean protein at each meal. Choose foods like grilled chicken, fish, and pork (white meat), beef, beans, and legumes. Opt for sandwiches made with turkey, ham, or roast beef.
- Eat healthy carbohydrates. Add a baked potato (be careful of toppings), brown rice, whole wheat pasta and bread, beans/legumes, etc.
- Add color. Include fresh fruit or vegetable at every meal.\
- Search for healthy foods. You can build a great sandwich or salad and find trail mix, nuts, bars, and water at any kiosk or airport store.
Sample Meals and Snacks
- Turkey Breast and avocado sandwich on whole wheat bread with veggies like tomato, cucumber, lettuce, and sprouts, and onions. Hold the mayo to save 100 or more calories.
- Whole wheat pasta with marinara sauce, grilled chicken, and a side of vegetable. No whole wheat pasta? Swap extra veggies for half of the regular pasta.
- A piece of fresh fruit (wash it with water) and nuts – half or whole pack, depending on size.
Build a Super Smoothie
- Start with 5-10 cubes of ice.

Built over numerous canyons and mesas, San Diego has become one of the great thriving cities of America. Nearly 3 million people have the pleasure of calling this urban getaway home, as it ranks third in size in California, after Los Angeles and San Francisco. With 70 miles of stunning beaches, major seaports, a world class zoo and aquarium, and one of the largest U.S. naval bases, San Diego’s charm stems from its eclectic mix of features to enhance any individual’s style of living. As if there isn’t enough activities to do within the many areas of San Diego, the Worldwide Mobility ERC event has taken roots this May 15th, bringing a strong and effective workforce mobility program to the west coast.
Who and What is the Worldwide ERC?
The Worldwide ERC was established in 1964 representing the authority on global workforce mobility. Headquartered in Washington D.C, it’s current membership includes more than 12,000 professionals who are involved in managing or servicing a mobile workforce. When global workforce mobility professionals, business communities, and media want to learn about current issues, trends, and best practices for the movement of employees all over the world, the Worldwide ERC has positioned itself to be the best resource for its proven record of expertise. This exceptional group has been conducting unbiased research, conferences and online training for more than 40 years. It has brought together the most innovative professionals to exchange information and to gain valuable knowledge within the workforce mobility field.
What is so special about the ERC Conference in San Diego?
Not to get off topic, but the conference is being held in sunny San Diego! Who wouldn’t want to attend? More importantly, the Worldwide ERC has planned social events from education sessions, to keynote speakers, and peer networking. Topics up for discussion and observation fall under the titles, “The Innovation Situation-Discovering What Corporations Really Wan in Innovation”, “Household Goods Industry Challenges vs. Corporate Client Needs: Tough Times, Smart Solutions” and “ Temporary Assignments: Don’t Let Your Policy Hang Loose”, to name a few. Also, our lovely sales team members, Susan Becker and Katie Bahr will be attending with partner Jack Jensky to absorb the information and best practices shared to continue our efforts in innovations and in setting the industry standard. Take a minute to wave or shake their hands if you happen to see them there! They won’t bite.
Catch a Wave!
It is in Synergy’s best interest to have boots on the ground because the Worldwide ERC creates extensive resources for their members that anticipate and benefit emerging trends, aid in making astute business decisions, and even have the potential to reduce costs for companies to ultimately position an organization strategically in the marketplace. To be innovative is an integral part of the Synergy culture, which is why we exude our passions with the members of the Worldwide ERC. The success of our culture begins with our people whether it is the internal parts of our organization or our fellow mobility industry peers. So if you happen to see our Synergy peeps at the conference, say hello! In the meantime, take advantage of your location and catch a wave in the glorious sun of San Diego!
If you didn’t get a chance to meet our lovely sales team ladies, check in with our blog next week for an exclusive inside look of the conference where Susan and Katie will be sharing the highlights of each event they attended. Until then, hang loose!
San Francisco, CA, March 26 — San Francisco is home to a wide array of environmentally conscious landmarks from its municipal buildings to popular attractions like the Academy of Sciences and Davies Symphony Hall. As San Francisco has progressed into one of the nation’s leaders in sustainability, so has its apartment living. With a careful eye on the future, Synergy Corporate Housing has partnered with SF-based Emerald Fund developers to offer its clients the perfect San Francisco blend of luxury and green living with Synergy’s newest exclusive property, Rincon Green, located at 333 Harrison Street on Rincon Hill.
“Synergy demonstrates its commitment to the environment through our passion for modern design, inspired by our awareness of nature and the importance of global conservation,” says Jack Jensky, founding partner of Synergy Corporate Housing. “We have found time and again that the needs and wishes of our Bay Area guests echo this same commitment to sustainability. Synergy has already partnered with many property management groups that carry with them the same philosophical pledge to integrate sustainability into their apartments. We continue that tradition at Rincon Green.”
Synergy Corporate Housing was the recent recipient of the Corporate Housing Providers Association award in the category of Green Progress for their ongoing sustainable initiatives. Synergy will feature many of the amenities at the new Rincon Green property that helped them win this honor. All Synergy apartments feature elements from Synergy’s “Sustainable Space” line which includes the Synergy Eco-Beds and furniture made from environmentally-friendly materials. Synergy has also made a commitment at this property to provide refillable toiletry sets, replacing the tired industry standard travel size and decreasing the amount of plastic its guests are forced to consume.
Tenants stay cozy with hydronic heating systems installed beneath the floors that rely on hot water instead of electricity. This system is ideal for those that enjoy consistent heat year round, as it operates very efficiently and keeps the space at a consistent, comfortable temperature. High efficiency air filtration systems remove unwanted airborne material from Rincon Green apartments, including any potential pollutants and particulate matter ensuring the apartment remains a constant breath of fresh air. All Rincon Green apartments are equipped with energy efficient washer dryers and stainless steel kitchen appliances. Guests will also find recycling services throughout the property.
Synergy Corporate Housing’s partnership with Emerald Fund offers more than just sustainable peace of mind though. Rincon Green Property Manager Karl Wagner sees “green living” as an integral part of the success of Rincon Green.
“Today’s San Francisco renter is smart and sophisticated,” he says. “The lifestyle here—combining the best of state-of-the-art technology with eco-friendly products and features—has vast appeal to our renters. We are already more than 80% leased up, which is a testament to how strongly San Franciscans value a residential offering that is both sustainable and sophisticated.”
In this vein, the slogan of Rincon Green is “Live here; Be everywhere.” The complex offers an expansive outdoor space including a sundeck and whirlpool that overlooks the city skyline. From this sought after locale, residents have views of downtown San Francisco, The Bay Bridge, and the beautiful Embarcadero. A short walk or transit ride gives residents access to local restaurants, shopping, and entertainment including AT&T Park, home of the two-time World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants.
“Our partnership at Rincon Green with Emerald Fund presents our clients with a new state-of-the-art apartment community located in the heart of San Francisco,” remarks Jensky. “The combination of this property’s amenities with the outstanding location provides our guests an expanded choice of lifestyle apartment offerings unique to San Francisco.”
