SAINT JULIANS, Malta – Synergy Global Housing has been awarded the Circle of Excellence Award as part of the European Relocation Association’s 2016 conference held in Malta on April 19-22.

The award was given to Synergy by its partner, AIReS, during the AIReS Partner Summit at the EuRA convention. The Circle of Excellence is given to companies that consistently receive high ratings from AIReS’ customer service surveys. Synergy was noted for routinely earning scores of 90 percent or better on the AIReS-organized surveys.

The award recognized Synergy’s commitment to exceeding guest expectations through its responsiveness and customer-centric business model. AIReS Vice President of Operations Joleen Lauffer and AIReS Director, Global Supply Chain, Brad Stevenson presented the award to Synergy Director of Global Solutions Denise D’Mello and Managing Director, EMEA Global Solutions Center, Suzanne Smith during the AIReS portion of the conference.

“Synergy Global Housing strives to ensure that the transition from country of origin to the new destination is as smooth as possible for every guest,” Smith said. “Exemplary customer service is at the core of our organizational values and we are always appreciative when our clients and partners recognize this.”

This is the second time this year Synergy Global Housing has been recognized for its customer service by one of its partners. Synergy received the 2015 Service Award for SIRVA Suppliers at the 4th Annual SIRVA University and Suppliers Summit in March.

Synergy Showcase at ERC’s Shanghai Summit

Diana Ong, Peter Meyers, Sheena Chan and Kaie Lim were Synergy Global Housing’s representatives at this year’s Worldwide ERC’ Shanghai Summit.

Worldwide ERC’s Shanghai Summit is one of the premier relocation mobility events in Asia Pacific. It gives the Synergy APAC Global Solutions Center team the opportunity to meet with our clients and partners that they don’t regularly meet with in person, as well as attend the breakout sessions to further educate and collaborate on current industry issues.

When Synergy made its first-ever appearance at last year’s Shanghai Summit, the primary goal was to promote Synergy’s global rebranding. This year, the focus was on client outreach.

“The face-to-face meetings help establish a more personal touch, which is a fundamental aspect of our brand,” Executive Vice President, Global Sales, Marketing and Operations, Peter Meyers said.

Meyers, based out of Synergy’sAmericas Global Solutions Center in San Ramon, CA, wasn’t the only person that had to travel to make the conference. Because the APAC team is based in Singapore, Managing Director Diana Ong, Director of Global Solutions Katie Lim and Account Executive Sheena Chan also flew to China to be a part of the event.

With Meyers surrounding himself with the three women, the group began to brand themselves, “Charlie’s Angels.”

While the focus of the trip was building connections with clients, suppliers and other partners, the team still managed to find some time to enjoy Shanghai. Meyers took a walk along the Huangpu River, visited the Shanghai Museum and dined in his favorite local neighborhood, the French Concession.

Lim said the highlight of her trip was getting the chance to walk through the city and enjoy the local restaurants.

“When in Asia, it’s all about eating,” Lim said.

Additional travel tips to China:

Katie Lim: Keep an open mind when traveling in Asia. Be aware of the Chinese culture and perhaps read up a little on some of the etiquettes, mannerism that are typical in the Chinese culture. It’s always good to get the name and address of the Hotel written in Chinese for safe keeping. It can come in handy when you get lost or you’re taking public transport back to your hotel.

Peter Meyers: Shanghai is a world city and offers something for everyone. Enjoy the usual visitor activities – shopping on Nanijing Rd, walking around The Bund, taking a night river cruise on the Huangpu. And then, more importantly, get off the beaten path and enjoy the less touristy sections of town, eat locally and get lost. Life is meant to be experienced and nothing quite beats getting out of one’s comfort zone.

Potrero Launch Party

On Thursday, October 25 Synergy celebrated the public unveiling of our new website and mobile application, as well as showed off one of our apartments at the new exclusive property Potrero Launch in San Francisco. After months of hard work, guests were able to use a host of different technology to test out all the features of the new Synergy website and smartphone application. An introductory video on the smartphone application also played on a large TV screen, and the Synergy Twitter feed was streaming on a computer.  Potrero Launch is a one-of-a-kind apartment building, which is comprised of two brick warehouses that have been converted into LEED certified apartment buildings. With breathtaking views of the city from the roof-top deck, and top-of-the-link amenities throughout the apartment, Potrero Launch is a coveted spot to live in the city. Potrero hosted their own kick-off on the rooftop of Thursday night, with music, beverages, and astounding views of the Giants stadium and the Bay Bridge. Our two launch parties corresponded nicely and flowed effortlessly into each other making the evening one of excitement, buzz, and something to rave about!
